Dr. Kristin Doerfler graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences. She then received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. She graduated with honors and is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society. During optometry school, she was the President of the National Optometric Student’s Association, a student-run organization that helps to promote the presence of minorities in eye care.
She completed her disease-based clinical rotation at the Kansas City VA Hospital and is trained to diagnose and manage ocular disease. While still a student, Dr. Doerfler was able to participate in a OneSight Mission trip to Kansas City, Missouri that helped to provide a free eye exam and glasses to over 100 children. She has since been awarded for excellence in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy for her work during clinical rotations.
Dr. Doerfler is originally from O’Fallon, Illinois and now lives in St. Peters with her Fiancé, Dan. They plan to get married in the Fall of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys listening to True Crime podcasts and spending time with family.
